Neutro Pure is an aquarium water conditioner that detoxifies chlorine and heavy metals found in all tap water. It has a simple yet effective formula meaning it's easy to dose and works immediately. By adding Neutro Pure into fresh tap water before adding to your tank, means all your livestock remain safe (and your filter bacteria) from the negative effects of your untreated tap water. For those unaware, chlorine burns the gills of fish and shrimp and kills good bacteria found in your filter which is why it's essential to use.

In general, the chlorine level of tap water varies across the UK. For the purposes of covering all bases, we've assumed your chlorine level is 2 ppm (parts per million). In some places, it may be less than this.

Dosing: Add 5ml per 50L (or 1ml per 10L) to untreated tap water. Add to your empty bucket before filling up with tap water (and not the other way around) and only treat the water you are replacing.

Note: If you wanted to be really accurate when dosing, contact your local water supplier to find out the chlorine level in your tap water. If your chlorine level is 1ppm, simply reduce your dosage to 1ml per 20L making Neutro Pure even more economical.

Bottle sizes: Small = 500ml, Medium = 1000ml, Large = 2000ml, XLarge = 4000ml.

Where's the important info?

There's no information on the site on how many ml each size is. It could be good value or terrible, I've got no idea. Then the description says it's 1ml for 10 litres for 2ppm ammonia... but if you find out from local water supplier you have 1ppm ammonia... then cut down to.... 1ml for 10 litres of water? What? So the exact same thing.

Was looking to buy something more economical than prime, but there's no proper info for this product

Apologies for any confusion - there was a typo in the description (fixed now). Most folk use 1ml per 10L of water but if you get an actual reading from your water providers (and find out if your chlorine level is 1ppm), you can drop your dose to 1ml per 20L of water (very economical).

Love the fact there's no smell to the product, it's great quality with easy instructions, I only have a small nano tank therefore the small bottle will last me a while. Worth the money for sure.

Neutro Pure is a very economical water conditioner, concentrated so I use less of this than my usual product, I have 80lt and 450lt tanks which due to work I only get the time to water change fortnightly. I do a thorough gravel clean then up to 70% water change, using Neutro pure has given great results with no evidence of fish stress after the large water change and good test results. Now my go too product for water conditioning.

No surprises here. As aways with aqua essentials the plant arrived in lovely condition and is doing well in my tank. I come to really like the various forms of Buce because it's one of the few things my mbunas won't eat.

Ive been wanting to plant my not so very planted shrimp tank up for months, and ive been trying to find the best plants to look nice (large in the back to smallest in the foreground) and i come across the scaped for you section. I am pretty much a novice at planting tanks as this is my first ever time doing it. Firstly id say that while this does come with a layout guide, it is only a guide and not a "how to" because it is only an image that is provided and nothing else. This isnt a bad thing of course because your tank is you own and you can do whatever you want with it. It took me about 2-3 hours to fully complete how i wanted it and set it up with the plants and after a few days of settling in looks so much better than i expected it. I love it and i think my shrimps do too :) - one thing to note i would say is if youre buying spider wood, make sure you weight it down or soak it for a long time before putting it in the tank as your first placement will most definitely float and cause some frustration. Id definitely buy this or another scaped for you option in the future if i wanted to do this again.

I have had the plants about three weeks now and so far so good. If Aqua Essentials could please provide a list of easy to grow plants. I know Co2 instruction is ideal but i am not sure how that is achieved or the cost of doing that?
