Have been using Aquaessentials on and off, for many years now. On and off because at times I have taken a break from aquatics, but rest assured when I'm ready to start up again or expand, aquaessentials is my first and only choice. They have always amazed me with the unbeatable quality of the plants and decor they supply, and have always been superfast with deliveries. They always have a vast range online and are always well stocked. None of the numerous aquatic stores I have visited over the years could ever be considered a match for this. In short whenever I need plants or decor for my aquarium projects Aquaessentials will alway be my one and only goto.
These guys are the best , well packaged healthy plants, really impressed with the quality yes they are a little more money than buying off say ebay , but you get what you pay for , keep up the good work , ill be back 👍

Since moving from silk plants to live plants have used aqua essentials to set up 4 of my tanks, always comes packaged well, plants in excellent condition and my last order one of the plants I ordered had melt so instead they sent as a 1.2 grow cup with a note to explain very pleased and will always use for any aquarium needs
Bought 3 plants and some spiderwood from aqua essentials. Happy with the plants , all came in good condition and look stunning ,although I am disappointed in the spiderwood given that it only has one root on it and doesn't offer much coverage

Ordered 5 pot of Red root floaters. Most of them suffered rot during the journey, I am able to keep 40% of what I bought, but this is not the worst part. I discovered a tiny SNAIL and DUCKWEED a few days later. Thanks for the contamination.
Abit sad they are not open to public anymore got an impression that this place was open for people to come and choose and the amazing staff person advised he was with customer, umm last time I checked I was a customer too if I enter the shop :D

This year, I decided to aquascape my 450-liter fish tank with a 200-liter sump.
For this project, I bought 7 bags of Colombo Mano Base Black substrate. Unfortunately, NutriBase was out of stock, so I had to purchase it elsewhere. I used 3 bags of NutriBase for the bottom layer and added 3 bags of Mano Base Black on top. I set everything up dry, without rinsing the substrate. After that, I slowly filled the tank to one-third capacity with water.
I then added a mixed box set of plants from Aqua Essentials, designed for up to 200 liters. The set included about 30 pots and 12 "1-2 Grow" out pots.I planted all the potted plants right away and allowed the "1-2 Grow" plants to grow out in my spare tanks until they were tall enough to be transferred to the main tank. Over the next few weeks, I added more plants and moved the grown-out ones to the 450-liter tank.
To fill the tank, I used water from my 850-liter fish tank and placed all the original media back into the sump of the 450-liter tank. Initially, my nitrate levels were over 40 ppm. With 7 fish added and no water changes, the nitrate levels dropped to zero. All my plants are thriving, thanks to the CO2 setup and the plant fertilizer I am using until the roots are fully established in the NutriBase. I did encounter some algae on the plant leaves, which I initially cleaned with a sponge. However, I discovered EASY-LIFE ALGEXIT, which made managing algae much easier. The algae stopped blooming almost immediately, and I plan to complete the whole treatment.
When setting up the substrate without rinsing, I experienced minimal cloudiness, and the water was crystal clear by the next day. Before planting, make sure to remove most of the rock wool from the roots to ensure better plant growth.The remaining 4 bags of substrate were rinsed and used for my 850-liter tank, which houses fish but no plants, so no NutriBase was used.
Oh, not finished more plants and a nice piece of bogwood, ready for my 8 wild altums Orinoco.
