Create a dense, jungle-style aquascape in your aquarium with this hand-picked mix of aquarium plants, chosen by our Plant Manager for the layered canopy look this style is known for.
A Jungle Style aquascape uses tall plants and bulbs to form a leafy canopy, with bold, big-leaved plants beneath and a wild, unstructured foreground. Plants compete naturally for light and space, giving the layout its characteristic dense, chaotic feel — deliberately less formal than a Dutch-style tank, and rewarding once established.
A few things to keep in mind when planning your layout:
- Tall plants and bulbs form the canopy layer
- Bold, big-leaved plants sit below, mixed for contrast in colour and texture
- Foreground planting can be wild and irregular rather than neatly arranged
- Aim for limited open space, so the tank feels full and established
Each box includes a mix of canopy, midground and foreground aquarium plants suited to this style, plus one Anubias or Microsorum plant you can attach to driftwood using fine line or fishing line for extra realism (wood and floating plants pair well with this look but are not included).
As with all our mixed boxes, the exact plants vary week to week depending on what is freshest in stock, so no two boxes are quite the same — in keeping with the wild, natural character of a jungle aquascape.
Sizes run from 50L (12 pots) up to 500L (120 pots), so there is a box matched to your tank. Every plant is packed fresh from our UK facility and arrives ready to plant.
