Description

This mini coconut bridge comes with Microsorum windelov — a delicate lace-leaf variety of Java fern — already established on it. It goes straight into your tank with zero preparation: no planting, no attaching, just rinse and place.

Java fern is one of the most forgiving plants in the hobby: low light, no CO2, tolerant of a wide range of water conditions. The coconut shell itself provides an instant hideout for shrimp, fry, and small bottom dwellers, while the lace-leaf fronds spread naturally over time, creating a miniature forest effect.

Ideal for nano, shrimp, and community tanks. Approx dimensions 5 x 12cm.

Product FAQs

Helpful details before you buy.

Does the Java fern come attached or loose?

The plant is already established on the coconut bridge — just rinse and place it in your tank. No attaching needed.

Is this suitable for shrimp tanks?

Yes, it's one of the best choices for shrimp setups. The coconut shell provides shelter and shrimp love grazing on the biofilm that forms on the Java fern leaves.

Some leaves are falling off — is that normal?

It's common for a few older leaves to shed in the first week or two after a move. The rhizome should stay green and new growth will follow shortly after.

How big will it get?

The mini bridge is approximately 5x12cm. Java fern grows slowly and the lace fronds will spread naturally, reaching up to about 15cm in height.

What lighting does it need?

Low to medium light is ideal. A great choice if you don't have a specialist planted tank light.
