Description
Alternanthera rosanervig is a compact pink stem plant with an eye-catching feature that sets it apart: the veins running through the leaves are a contrasting white, creating a striking netted pattern against the deep pink-red leaf surface. It's a plant you notice up close.
It stays more compact and shorter-stemmed than the taller Alternanthera species, making it well suited to midground placement. It needs medium to bright lighting and benefits from CO2 supplementation to maintain strong colour. Plant in small groups of two or three for best visual effect.

Don’t worry if the leaves look a little garishly pink - once in the tank the green undersides will catch the light and it will look wonderful :)

Very nice plant.well packaged , in great condition and a good size. Took a chance and put it in my planted goldfish tank, it hasn't been touched yet and is doing very well

Nice plant. I was worried it wouldn't get enough light being slightly covered by another leaf, but it seems to have grown in a few weeks so it is now above the level of the others. I'm quite low-tech but it seems to still be keeping a nice colour. And so far my apple snails don't seem to be eating it, which is always a plus!

Quick delivery and well packed. I've had it in my tank for a few weeks now and it has grown well with a lovely dark pink underneath and a more delicate green and pink on top of the leaves. (It pays to "listen" to Richard's tips ????)

For the first time I was very disappointed with this plant.It was barely 5 cms high and fell apart as I tried to take the rockwool off Very poor plant indeed.

How large does it grow?
It stays more compact than other Alternanthera, making it suitable for midground placement where the leaf detail can be appreciated up close.
Does it need CO2?
