    Description

Alternanthera rosanervig is a compact pink stem plant with an eye-catching feature that sets it apart: the veins running through the leaves are a contrasting white, creating a striking netted pattern against the deep pink-red leaf surface. It's a plant you notice up close.

It stays more compact and shorter-stemmed than the taller Alternanthera species, making it well suited to midground placement. It needs medium to bright lighting and benefits from CO2 supplementation to maintain strong colour. Plant in small groups of two or three for best visual effect.

Note: the product image shows the species at full potential rather than the size you will receive at shipping.

    Product FAQs

    Helpful details before you buy.

    What makes Alternanthera rosanervig unusual?

The contrasting white veins running through the pink-red leaves create a distinctive netted pattern that sets it apart from other Alternanthera species.

    How large does it grow?

It stays more compact than other Alternanthera, making it suitable for midground placement where the leaf detail can be appreciated up close.

    Does it need CO2?

CO2 supplementation improves colour intensity and growth rate. Without it the plant survives but the pink tones and vein contrast are less vivid.

    What light does it need?

Medium to bright lighting. Low light produces weak, washed-out colour and slow growth.

    Is it a small plant?

Yes β€” the product images show the species at full potential. The plant you receive will be smaller and will develop over time in the aquarium.
