Unipac Black Micro Aquarium Gravel is a mix of gravel approx 2-3mm in size. This gravel is to be placed in the base of the aquarium as a bed to house plants and provides a base for rocks, stones and other aquatic ornaments. 

Black is always a popular colour in an aquarium as it can bring the best out of a fish, colour wise.Coming in a handy size bag this pack is ideal for nano and small aquariums up to 15L and also as a 'top-up' when you need a little bit more. 

This versatile gravel can be used in aquariums, terrariums or even planters. We recommend you rinse the sand in a little cold water to remove any dust and particles before placing in the aquarium.

I have used this for my nano 5 gall aquarium, it looks good and was easy to spread. I do not think I would use it in my 36 gall,as it looks best when the lights are full on.
