Description
Anubias barteri 'Petite' is one of the smallest Anubias varieties available, producing leaves just 10–20mm in length on a plant that stays under 5cm tall. That compact footprint makes it ideal for foreground and midground placement in nano tanks and aquascapes where full-sized Anubias would quickly dominate.
Like all Anubias, it's undemanding: no CO2, tolerant of low light, and attached to hardscape rather than planted into substrate. Growth is slow but the plant branches naturally over time, building into a neat dense cluster that looks increasingly impressive the longer it's left undisturbed. Shrimp in particular are drawn to it, grazing constantly on the biofilm that develops across the broad leaves.
Remove from the pot and attach the rhizome to a small stone or piece of wood. Do not bury the rhizome.

I have had various plants from aqua essentials from potted plants to cultures and they have all been fantastic there has been hardly any melt and they're all bounce back around the quickly granted I use CO2 and have strong lighting but you cannot argue with the quality not that brown leaf insight. Shapes sizes colours and planting varieties well recommended I wouldn't use any other website great packaging to

I ordered two of these lovely little plants and they arrived in very good condition. I have glued them on to a small branch which rests on the bottom of the aquarium and it looks very effective - very pleased with them.

These lovely little plants arrived as usual in pristine condition, but as I am upsizing to a much bigger deeper tank I think that I might have given them a bit of a shock being as they are grown emersed as opposed to immersed and pretty soon they started to suffer. I have since moved them to a hospital tank and they are recovering. Thoughts on this please.

How do I attach Anubias Petite?
Attach the rhizome to a small stone or piece of wood using thread or aquarium-safe superglue. Do not bury the rhizome — this causes rot.
Does Anubias Petite need CO2 or bright light?
Neither. It is undemanding on both counts and grows well under standard aquarium lighting with no CO2.
Will Anubias Petite spread over time?
Yes, slowly. The rhizome branches and the plant gradually builds into dense clusters, making it effective as a foreground plant once fully established.
Is it safe for shrimp?
Absolutely. Shrimp often prefer tanks with Anubias as the broad leaves develop biofilm they graze on continuously.
