Cryptocoryne sp. Flamingo is a striking and unusual Cryptocoryne variety producing leaves in vivid pink to rose — one of the most intensely coloured Cryptocoryne forms available. The pinky-red leaf colouration is remarkable for the genus and makes it a highly sought-after collector's plant for hobbyists wanting something genuinely striking in the midground of a planted aquarium.
It grows like a typical Cryptocoryne in low to medium light without CO2 injection, though the most vivid pink colouration develops best under good light conditions. It is more sensitive to environmental changes than more common Crypt species and benefits from a stable, established aquarium. A nutritious substrate and liquid fertilisation support consistent leaf colour and growth.
Supplied as a tissue culture cup, Cryptocoryne sp. Flamingo arrives completely free from snails, pest algae, and pesticide residue. Rinse the gel, separate and plant the individual plantlets into the substrate. Suits aquariums from 30 litres upward. Allow time to establish — once settled it is a long-lived and spectacular midground specimen.
