Description

This large combination piece features Anubias, Microsorum Java fern, and aquarium moss all pre-grown together on a single piece of natural bogwood. The three plants complement each other — broad glossy Anubias leaves, finely textured Java fern fronds, and the soft dense growth of moss — creating a layered, naturalistic planted look in one substantial ready-made feature piece.

All three plants are among the easiest in the hobby. They grow in low to medium light without CO2 injection and tolerate a wide range of water conditions. None require substrate planting or fertilisation beyond what a standard aquarium naturally provides. Once established they continue growing slowly and require very little ongoing maintenance.

All plants are pre-established on the bogwood so no further planting or attachment is needed — simply rinse and place. The large size is suited to aquariums of 150 litres and above where it can serve as a substantial planted centrepiece. Each piece is a natural item so exact dimensions vary, but all large pieces are significant in size and create immediate impact from day one.

Plant Sizes

The image of the plant you'll be receiving is just an example of what you can expect. Each plant is unique and may vary in size and shape, so it won't be an exact match to the photo. If we provide a size guide, keep in mind that it's just an estimate and that plants can vary in size depending on the time of year.

Pricey, but very striking piece of living sculpture!
The photo above doesn't do the piece I got justice. These are very individual items and vary greatly I would assume.
Mine was very heavy and looks stunning with a very healthy mass of well attached plants.
Lots of nooks and crannies for catfish, shrimp etc.
I bought this along with five other pieces. Ordered Friday evening and they came Sunday dinner time.
DPD delivered the box on it's side, despite a "this way up symbol" on the box! Good job it was very well packaged.
All plants were in excellent health and well attached.
I will have no problem ordering again and well recommended!

Product FAQs

Helpful details before you buy.

What plants are on the wood?

The piece is grown with Anubias, Microsorum Java fern, and aquarium moss. The exact species of each may vary slightly with seasonal availability.

Does it need CO2 or specialist lighting?

No — all three plants are low-tech and grow well in standard aquarium lighting without CO2 injection.

How large is the large size?

Large pieces are typically 25–35 cm in length, though natural variation means exact size differs between pieces. It is suited to aquariums of 150 litres and above.

Do I need to do anything when it arrives?

Just rinse and place it in the tank. All plants are pre-established on the wood — no gluing, tying, or planting is required.

Is it safe for shrimp?

Yes — all three plants are shrimp-safe and the moss in particular is excellent for shrimp, providing grazing and shelter.
