    Description

This extra-large combination piece features Anubias, Microsorum Java fern, and aquarium moss all pre-grown together on a substantial piece of natural bogwood. It is the most impressive size in this range — a single feature piece that creates the look of a mature, planted aquarium layout without any setup work. The three plant types together produce a rich, layered planted appearance that would take months to achieve from scratch.

All three plants are among the easiest in the hobby. They grow in low to medium light without CO2 injection and tolerate a wide range of water conditions. None require substrate planting or fertilisation beyond what a standard aquarium provides. Once established they continue growing steadily and require very little ongoing attention.

All plants are pre-established on the bogwood so no further planting or attachment is needed — simply rinse and place in the tank. The XL size is suited to aquariums of 200 litres and above where its substantial scale can be fully appreciated. Each piece is a natural item so exact dimensions vary, but all XL pieces are striking in size and create immediate impact.

    Plant Sizes

The image of the plant you'll be receiving is just an example of what you can expect. Each plant is unique and may vary in size and shape, so it won't be an exact match to the photo. If we provide a size guide, keep in mind that it's just an estimate and that plants can vary in size depending on the time of year.

Purchased two of these for a large aquarium. Great selection of plants tied well to the wood. Plants in great condition. Would recommend.

    Review

This log was huge! I love it, along with a medium sized one I brought these two really set off the jungle theme of my tank. The plants are healthy and growing, my fish love all the little hiding places these logs give them. Absolutely love them! Shipping was fast and customer care was second to none! I ordered ALOT of stuff from these folks and will go straight to them again when I convince the wife to let me have another tank!!

    Product FAQs

    Helpful details before you buy.

How large is the XL size?

XL pieces are typically 35–50 cm in length, though natural variation means exact size differs. Best suited to aquariums of 200 litres and above.

    What plants are included?

The piece is grown with Anubias, Microsorum Java fern, and aquarium moss. Exact species may vary slightly with seasonal availability.

Does it need CO2 or specialist lighting?

No — all three plants are low-tech and grow under standard aquarium lighting without CO2.

Do I need to do anything when it arrives?

Just rinse and place it in the tank. All plants are pre-established on the wood — no gluing, tying, or planting needed.

Is it safe for shrimp and community fish?

Yes — all three plants are safe for shrimp and fish. The bogwood and moss also provide excellent additional shelter and foraging surfaces.
