Description
Anubias barteri nana is one of the most popular aquarium plants, with compact dark green oval leaves growing from a creeping rhizome. This version comes pre-attached to a decorative base designed to float at the water surface, allowing the plant to access light naturally while keeping its roots trailing freely into the water column below. It creates an unusual and visually distinctive element in any aquarium layout.
Anubias is one of the easiest aquarium plants available. It grows in low to medium light without CO2 injection and is tolerant of a wide range of water temperatures and hardness. Growth is slow but the plant is long-lived and largely self-maintaining once established — requiring no trimming or special attention.
The floating base means no anchoring or planting is required — simply drop it into the tank and it floats wherever you position it. It can be moved or repositioned at any time and is equally at home left to drift freely or held in place under a piece of decor. Fully shrimp-safe and suitable for tropical and temperate aquariums.

I bought this with the idea it would be a nice spot for my Betta to rest near the surface of the tank, I know the pieces of driftwood are random but I honestly couldn't have picked a better shape (wide and shaped a bit like a L bookend, added some pics but hard to get a good shot showing depth) with a lovely healthy anubia well attached and the suction holds really well, I found my Betta sleeping on it overnight as well so I'm more than pleased with my purchase 😊

Excellent quality. Very sturdy piece of wood, secure sucker pad and healthy plant securely attached. No unwanted visitors arrived in the plants and fish love it, I was initially concerned whether tannins were going to be an issue but never was. Clean and healthy and again well impressed.

Does it need CO2?
No — Anubias nana is one of the most low-tech plants available and grows well without CO2 in low to medium light.
Can I reposition it?
Yes — simply move it anywhere in the tank. It can float freely or be tucked under a piece of decor or rock to hold it in place.
Will the plant grow?
Yes, slowly — Anubias typically produces one or two new leaves per month. The compact growth habit means very little maintenance is needed.
Is it safe for shrimp?
