    Description

Six bunches of Egeria densa (Elodea densa) — one of the fastest-growing and most effective oxygenating plants available — supplied in a bulk pack for filling larger aquariums and ponds quickly. The dense whorls of bright green leaves along multiple branching stems create generous coverage and deliver significant oxygen output, nutrient uptake, and natural shelter for fish, fry, and shrimp at exceptional value.

It grows in low light without CO2 injection and tolerates both coldwater and tropical temperatures — one of the most versatile oxygenating plants available. Growth is fast and it benefits from regular trimming to keep it manageable and healthy. Six bunches provide substantial, immediate impact in larger aquariums and pond set-ups where a single bunch would make little visual difference.

Supplied as six unweighted bunches. Plant groups of stems into the substrate or leave floating. In a pond, simply introduce directly to the water. Trim excess growth regularly. Suitable for aquariums of 100 litres and above and garden ponds where rapid, bulk oxygenation is the priority.

    Product FAQs

    Helpful details before you buy.

Why buy six bunches rather than two?

Six bunches provide far more immediate planting impact in larger tanks and ponds. The bulk price also gives better value than buying multiple packs of two.

Does it need CO2 or special lighting?

No — it grows in low light without CO2 and suits low-tech aquariums and ponds.

    How fast does it grow?

Very fast in good conditions — one of the quickest-growing oxygenating plants available. Regular trimming helps keep it healthy and stops it becoming unmanageable.

Can it be used in a pond?

Yes — it tolerates both coldwater and tropical temperatures and works well in garden ponds as a summer oxygenator.

Can I float the bunches instead of planting them?

Yes — they can be floated freely or planted in substrate. Both approaches work well.
