Description

Anubias barteri ‘Mini Coin’ is a tiny, characterful Anubias with neat rounded leaves that look brilliant tucked into wood, rockwork and small aquascape details.

Its compact size makes it especially useful in nano aquariums, shrimp tanks and layouts where you want a natural planted look without the plant taking over. Growth is slow and steady, so it keeps its shape well and needs very little trimming.

Attach it to aquarium wood or rock rather than burying it in the substrate. Like all Anubias, the rhizome must stay exposed to avoid rot.

This is an easy plant that does well in low to moderate lighting and does not need CO₂. It is supplied as a Tropica 1-2-GROW! tissue culture cup, grown clean and free from snails, algae and pesticide residue.

Please note: this is a genuinely miniature plant. The cup will usually contain around 3 small pieces, ready to rinse, divide and attach to your hardscape.

Plant Sizes

The image of the plant you'll be receiving is just an example of what you can expect. Each plant is unique and may vary in size and shape, so it won't be an exact match to the photo. If we provide a size guide, keep in mind that it's just an estimate and that plants can vary in size depending on the time of year.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Tissue cultured plants are supplied young and grown in a sterile environment, so they arrive free from snails, algae and pesticide residue. They may look smaller on arrival, but each cup contains multiple plantlets designed to be divided and planted out, where they establish quickly with minimal melt and grow into place.

About Tissue Culture Aquarium Plants

1. Clean, Fresh & Pest-Free

Tissue culture aquarium plants are grown in clean, sterile laboratory conditions, making them a fresh and reliable choice for planted aquariums. They arrive in sealed cups and are free from snails, algae and pesticide residue.

2. Easy to Prepare

Before adding them to your aquarium, remove the plant from the cup and gently rinse away the gel under lukewarm water. The plant can then be divided into smaller portions, giving you more flexibility when placing it around your tank.

3. Young Plants, Strong Start

Tissue culture plants are young when supplied, so they may look smaller at first, but they settle in well when given suitable light, nutrients and stable water conditions. Plant or attach them according to the needs of the specific variety.
