Bucephalandra theia Green is the distinctly bright-green form of Bucephalandra theia, producing oval to lance-shaped leaves in vivid, clean green with the characteristic iridescent sheen of the species. The brighter, fresher green colouration makes it a versatile hardscape plant that contrasts well with darker-leaved Bucephalandra varieties and mosses when combined on the same piece of driftwood.
Like all Bucephalandra it grows attached to wood or rock rather than planted in the substrate, tolerating low to medium light without CO2 injection. Slow-growing and very long-lived, it develops a spreading rhizome across hardscape surfaces over time. Small submerged flowers can appear under good light conditions, a delightful feature of the Bucephalandra genus.
Supplied as an Easy Grow tissue culture cup, this plant arrives completely free from snails, pest algae, and pesticide residue. Rinse the gel, divide and attach to hardscape. Suits aquariums from 20 litres upward — a bright, clean-green hardscape plant with excellent shrimp compatibility and real collector's appeal.
