Anubias barteri nana 'Gold' is a striking cultivar of the popular nana variety, producing compact leaves with a warm yellow-green to golden tone that stands out clearly against the darker greens of most aquarium plants. Attached here to a natural root or branching wood piece, it makes an immediate visual impact as a planted feature in any aquarium layout from small to large.
Care is just as easy as standard Anubias nana. It grows in low to medium light without CO2 and is tolerant of a wide range of water conditions. The golden colouration is genetic rather than a sign of stress — it remains consistent across all light levels, though slightly brighter light tends to intensify the tone. Growth is slow and the plant is very long-lived.
The plant is pre-attached to the root piece so no further planting or attachment is needed — just rinse and place. Never bury the rhizome in substrate. The root is heavy enough to sit securely in the aquarium and the Anubias Gold continues to grow and spread along it over time, developing its coverage naturally.
