Description

We offer a vast range of driftwood, varying in size and shape. Each unique piece ranges from 10-12cm in length but can vary either side of these approximate measurements - please remember they are all-natural.

A rich, wholesome brown in colour these pieces of wood give a natural and humble look to any aquarium whether it is planted or non-planted. Create a wild and untamed look by positioning amongst flourishing, bushy green plants or create a simply and refined look by positioning amongst pebbles or rocks.

Due to the diverse nature of these pieces of driftwood, plants such as Anubias nana bonzai, Microsorium windelov, Microsorium pteropus and Java Moss can be easily attached to the driftwood and allowed to mature. We recommend you use a good plant fertilizer such as Neutro T to ensure your plant decor maintains a strong and healthy existence.

This is a natural product so we recommend you thoroughly rinse your driftwood before placing in the aquarium.

The pieces of wood in the picture are typical pieces of the driftwood available however please note all will vary in size and shape.

Also the picture shows three examples of the wood however it is sold per piece i.e. if you purchase 1 piece of wood you will receive 1 piece of wood.

The piece I received is attractive and the measurements were spot on to the max size in the description. I have taken off 1 star because there was a label attached to the wood with staples and 1 of them I was unable to remove which is a little annoying. Also I saw elsewhere on the website that the wood is pretreated for the aquarium but I didn't find this to be the case as the water I washed it in went very brown from tannins.

Nice piece of wood, but, as I was wanting small pieces had to saw one piece in half - nightmare! Must be the hardest stuff in the world. Worth it though, looks great with some anubia in the tank. If only smaller pieces were sold ( but then some poor person would have to saw them up! ) ....

The piece of wood is certainly attractive and I am certain is worth the 5 stars.

My only comment would be that as someone of a certain age, I don't do well with metric measurements. The piece was bigger than I had anticipated and only just went sensibly into my not very big tank. Maybe the dimensions could also be shown in imperial measurements for the benefit of us oldies...?
