Neutro T is a daily liquid fertiliser formulated for low-tech planted aquariums — those not using pressurised CO₂. It provides all the trace elements your plants need, including iron, in a stable form that’s absorbed quickly and consistently.
Tap water contains no usable plant nutrients. Without regular fertilisation, even low-maintenance species like Java fern and Anubias will slowly lose colour, stall in growth, and become susceptible to algae. Neutro T provides a steady daily supply — dosed in small amounts so nutrients never drop between doses.
All essential trace elements: iron, potassium, manganese, copper, boron, zinc, and molybdenum. Neutro T does not contain nitrate or phosphate, so it won’t directly fuel algae — it just gives your plants what they need to stay healthy and competitive.
Add 5ml per 100L every day. Daily dosing matters — adding a week’s worth in one go is less effective and can cause imbalances. Any time of day is fine, as long as it’s consistent. The bottle cap measures 10ml, or use our dispensing bottle for easier daily doses.
Neutro T is for low-tech tanks without pressurised CO₂. If you’re injecting CO₂, use Neutro+ instead — it adds macronutrients (NPK) that high-demand plants need at higher growth rates. If you’re not sure which you have, you’re almost certainly low-tech.
We also recommend pairing Neutro T with Neutro CO₂ (liquid carbon) regardless of setup — it provides an additional carbon source and helps suppress algae. The Neutro Combo Low Tech bundles both together at a saving.

I have had the plants about three weeks now and so far so good. If Aqua Essentials could please provide a list of easy to grow plants. I know Co2 instruction is ideal but i am not sure how that is achieved or the cost of doing that?
I've been using Neutro T along with Neutro CO₂ daily for a few months now to revive a neglected low-tech tank. It seems to have done the job - the plants have recovered and are filling out nicely and the algae issues have pretty much disappeared. Would recommend.

I've been using this in my tank for a couple of years now and it's as good as they say it is.
Contains a dye which will eventually coat the aquarium glass with a very difficult to remove film. Stay well away unless you enjoy scraping your glass every night (slight exaggeration).
Neutro fertilises don't contain any dye. The film you describe sounds like algae to me.
Have recently purched 2nd bottle of NeutroT as finding this ideal for living plants in aquarium. The plants are looking healthy and lots of new root growth.
My aquarium plants have certainly grown more since i stated using Neutro t plant food.

Doing wonders for the plants
Have used this brand of fertiliser since I bought my first batch of plants from Aqua Essentials. Works very well, all the plants grow well (sometimes too well).
Also use the water change on my garden and those plants love it.
I was nervous at first about putting this in the aquarium, wondering if it would harm the fishes. However, they don't mind the daily routine, even though it doesn't provide any immediate source of food for them! I never kept plants any length of time before. Now I realise it was because I didn't look after them. This product has given me a new interest, and the aquaria are benefitting.
I haven’t got the best lighting & most plants seem to be doing well. The only downside is if you miss one dose, you have to start over again. Not sure how this affects things, but it’s stated on the bottle.

I have two large tanks, one has pressurised C02 and the other has liquid C02. So, its my fancy goldfish that have this and the liquid and the plants are doing amazingly! Everything has grown! Except algae..... there is very little and that is something im very happy about! So, happy plants, very happy fish and an even happier me!

As previously mentioned, I have been using this with Neutro CO2. I have just re started again and hope with the added CO2 it will not start another algae bloom, as my plants have already grown considerably enough to absorb more nitrate.
I have only been using Neutro+ just over a week now and I have noticed my plants having new growth whereas they haven’t really grown over the last year so I am very hopeful that this is just what I need.
I had some plants in my aquarium for over a year and used another fertiliser they didnt grow much . Started to use this one wnd the wont stop growing .
