Lysimachia parvifolia Red is an attractive and warm-toned aquarium stem plant producing small, oval pairs of leaves with a reddish to warm bronze tint under good light — a subtle but pleasing colour contrast to green plants in the midground of planted aquariums. Less commonly seen than standard Lysimachia nummularia, it has a more refined leaf scale and warmer colouration that gives it particular appeal as a midground accent.
It benefits from medium light and CO2 supplementation for the most compact, well-coloured growth and the most pronounced red-bronze tint on the leaves. Without CO2 growth becomes looser and the warm colouration less distinct. A comprehensive fertilisation program supports sustained healthy development over the long term.
Supplied as a Tropica 1-2-GROW! tissue culture cup, this plant arrives completely free from snails, pest algae, and pesticide residue. Rinse the gel, separate stems and plant into the substrate. Suits aquariums from 40 litres upward — a warm-toned and subtly coloured midground stem plant that is fully shrimp safe and distinctive in planted aquarium layouts.
