Aponogeton henkelianus Bulb

Two marbles eventually arrived five days late. So small that there is little or no chance of them maturing into plants.
At £7.00 each they are a complete RIPOFF.
BUY ELSEWHERE if you want quality plants.

Came in good condition, despite postal disruption. Bought 2 more to fill out the back of a deep tank, and they are doing so well they've flowered. So far, been easy to care for.

Absolutely love this bulb. Put it in 3 weeks ago and tripled in size already. Don't need to disturb fish or weigh down in the gravel. Had a space in the middle and the bulb fitted in perfectly. Would definitely buy again.

So I’m very new to plants in my fish tank, but will never go back.
All the rest of my plants came from aqua essentials and were bushy and have grown amazingly. I was a bit worried about the bulb I received, but after about a week there’s new sprouts coming up and it’s growing really well. I look forward to seeing its progress every day. Thanks Aqua Essentials.

Bulb is growing slowly but looking good

Bulb arrived in great condition, not been in aquarium long but looking good.

Aponogeton just may be my favourite tank plant. This is my second bulb and variety and is growing at a great rate! The first is still going strong and my beta boy couldn't be happier hiding and resting in these beautiful floaty leaves.

When the bulb arrived , looking like a dry prune ,
I thought hum? But put it in anyway ! Next day a few tips showing ! Week later 4 leaves at 6inch ,
Well pleased , wouldn't hesitate to recommend it .

Very easy to grow fast grower,like something out of Jack and the beanstalk placed in tank next day there were leaves already growing.hifhly recommend this bulb.

2 weeks in and I have 5 new shoots growing. The goldfish haven't noticed them yet so they may get a chance to grow into something other than nubbly little shoots before they get ripped out and eaten.

Has been slower to show growth than other builds planted at same time, but coming in now with glimpses of new shoots appearing

This isnt just a useful addition-it's been really interesting watching it gradually grow! As simple as the instructions indicate - I washed it gently and then dropped it in. It started to grow right away and gradually a leaf unfurled. Me and my children have checked every day. It is now the depth of the water and more leaves coming. What a great addition to our 30l freshwater tank.

Bulb arrived with one leaf which I wasn’t expecting, expected no leaves. Planted in and already after a couple of weeks there are 2 new leaves. Testament to great quality as ordered these from different suppliers before and not had any growth. They are a bit of a challenge anyway though! So I’m impressed so far.

I bought this as bulb only, no leaves. Within a week, a leaf shot out and had grown 5 ".

Fantastic bulb. Started growing within2 days of ‘planting’ survived being moved when my tank leaked. Very strong growth and seriously weird looking leaves.

This came as a tuber. Placed in the tank and within a couple of day is showing signs growth. I already have some of these I bought previously and they have flourished. One is even showing signs of flowering.

As yet this Bulb has shown no sign of growth

Grows super quick, I anchored it to some pebbles , as it began floating all over the place, but seems to grow with little care needed.

Only been in the tank 4 days and already producing lots more growth.

This was delivered with a small sprouting leaf showing. Within a few days it had grown to about 6" and shortly after that it now is about 16" long. It does very well if planted near the filter outlook as the leaves seem to love thee motion and it gives a magical effect of constant motion. Fish seem to enjoy the young leaves, so I prefer to grow the plant on before placing in an inhabited aquarium. See notes on next Aponogeton.

Lovely plant, grows quickly. Looks stunning in the back of my tank.

Initially worried as there was a gouge down the side of the bulb that looked like a knife cut and the leaves were a little brown as the express shipping had been sent out on a Friday evening, so it spent the weekend in a post office depot sub zero, but it's since sprouted well as you can almost see it growing.

This is the first time ordering from Aqua Essentials and I have no regrets, I live in Malawi, Africa and there not many companies who want to deliver their products in this part of the world. I received my order within three days of ordering and in perfect condition ,I planted them in my Aquarium and it has been only two days but they really look magnificent.
