Description

Cryptocoryne undulatus 'Green' is one of the most reliable and widely kept Cryptocoryne varieties — the classic green form of the undulatus, producing medium-length wavy leaves in a fresh olive-green tone that suits almost any aquarium layout. It's forgiving, adaptable, and grows steadily once established, making it an excellent Crypt for beginners and experienced planted tank keepers alike.

Low light, no CO2, planted in substrate. Root tabs or a nutrient-rich substrate support good growth. Like all Crypts, temporary leaf melt can follow being moved — leave the rhizome in place and it will regrow. Once established it spreads via runners and gradually forms a healthy colony.

Plant roots in the substrate without burying the crown. Midground positioning works well in most aquariums.

What is 'crypt melt'?

When moved, Cryptocoryne sometimes dissolve their leaves. This is normal. Leave the rhizome in the substrate and new leaves will regrow.
