Description
Echinodorus altlandsberg is an attractive Echinodorus cultivar producing spotted, lightly marbled leaves with distinctive lighter markings on a mid-green background. The spotting is most prominent on younger leaves and gradually fades as the leaves mature, creating an interesting two-phase appearance as new growth emerges. It reaches a moderate size of 20–35cm.
Medium light, no CO2 required, planted in substrate with root tabs. Growth is reliable and relatively fast for a spotted cultivar. Well suited to midground to background positioning in most aquariums.
Plant in the substrate and use root tabs near the roots. Propagation via daughter plants on flower stems.

This aquarium plant receives overwhelmingly positive feedback. Customers said it's "robust, sturdy, and beautiful" with healthy specimens arriving well-packaged. The leaves feature attractive patterning, though some noted they're longer than pictured. Fish enjoy swimming through it. One shopper reported brown leaves with holes upon arrival.

All plants i have received from yourselves have been beautiful healthy good sized plants. As you can see from my photo my tank is looking amazing and alive. My fish love the plants and chase each other through them having so much fun. I can watch them for hours. Thank you so much for the wonderful plants.
I love this plant! It's robust, it's sturdy, it's beautiful and my goldfish don't eat it.
Love this plant and looks so good in the aquarium.
Very interesting looking plant. Arrived strong and healthy. Fell in love with it as soon as it was in the tank. The pattern on the leaves remind me of that of Calathea. It was difficult to find more online information about it in regards to the colours the leafs can display but apparently the range is from pink over brown green to dark green.
Looks a little different than the photo, with longer leaves, but still a great plant. Arrived healthy and a good size and is already growing well after 2 weeks of planting.
Very good plant, arrived very well packaged
Really healthy plant. Beautiful patterning on leaves
ECHINODORUS ATLANDSBERG: the foreground plant has doubled in size since I first received it 2 months ago it is midrange between green with slight tinges of red, this picture shows the leaves to be slightly rounder than my plants leaves which are longer in shape and fans out. The fish enjoy swimming in and out of the plant.
Arrived securely, nice and damp. No damage to the plant. Healthy leaves and new shoot. Growing nicely.
A lovely plant that will hopefully soon start to grow well.
Healthy specimens once again well rooted clean and fresh leaves already appearing.
Leaves were a little brown in parts and a couple had holes in them, just hoping it doesn't die. Keeping my fingers crossed on this one.
Beautiful plant
Nioce looking plant, arrived in good condition
Arrived in perfect condition and has been doing great ever since
Product FAQs
Helpful details before you buy.
Does the spotting stay on the leaves?
The spotting is most pronounced on younger leaves and fades as they mature. New growth always brings fresh patterning.
Does it need CO2?
No — grows well without CO2. Root tabs near the roots are more important.
How large does it get?
Moderate size — 20–35cm depending on conditions. Good for midground to background positioning.
How do I fertilise it?
Root tabs placed near the base of the plant. Echinodorus are heavy root feeders.
How do I propagate it?
Daughter plants form on flower stems. Detach once they have 3–4 leaves and visible roots, then replant.
