Description
Echinodorus barthii is a striking Echinodorus cultivar producing leaves that develop a rich red-brown to deep red tone — particularly vivid on younger growth, which can emerge a bright red-orange before maturing into the darker red-brown shade. Under good lighting the colour is at its most impressive, making this one of the more attractive red sword plants available.
Medium light, no CO2 required, planted in substrate with root tabs near the roots. Better lighting encourages deeper red colouration. Growth is reliable and the colour makes it a natural focal point in the midground to background.
