    Description

    Echinodorus rose is an attractive cultivar producing leaves in warm shades of rose pink, copper, and soft green, with new growth displaying the richest tones. The interplay of colours within the rosette gives it a warm, decorative quality that is distinct from more intensely red sword plant cultivars.

    It is easy to keep and well suited to low-tech aquariums, growing under medium light without CO2 injection. Leaf pigmentation is best maintained with adequate light and an iron-rich substrate or fertiliser. As a root feeder, it benefits from planting in a nutritious substrate or the placement of root tabs near the base.

    Supplied as an established potted plant, Echinodorus rose typically reaches 20–30 cm in height and works well in the midground of aquariums from 100 litres. Its soft, warm colouration pairs naturally with green stem plants and creates a gentle, harmonious contrast that suits naturalistic planted layouts.

    This a beautiful plant, new growth is pinkish red. I have two in different areas and there are subtle differences to leaf formation and colour, one a much more deeper red than the other. My nerite snails do a great job in keeping the leaves looking good

    This plant arrived in top condition but it appears to be a bit slower growing compared to other Echinos. In 10 days it has only produced 1 new leaf whilst others have produced 2 -3. It could be that it requires a bit more light as it is overshadowed by a taller plant

    As is the norm for Aqua Essentials the plant is superb. Good quality, good size, growing well and superbly packaged.
