Description
Lysimachia nummularia, commonly known as creeping Jenny, is a low-growing stem plant with rounded, coin-shaped leaves in fresh mid-green. In the aquarium it produces a trailing and creeping growth habit that makes it well suited to the midground of planted layouts, spreading gently across the substrate and filling gaps between upright stems and rosette plants.
It is an undemanding species that grows well under medium light without CO2 injection, making it a practical choice for low-tech planted aquariums. Growth is moderate and easy to manage. Regular trimming of any upward-growing stems keeps it in a tidy horizontal form. Cuttings root readily and can be replanted to fill in gaps.

My creeping jenny melted away to nothing but stalks. And it's because I wasn't paying attention and planted it in a betta tank! Temperature of 26c WILL murder this plant . But as with most plants that melt they will grow back again. I lifted the melted stalks and re planted in my shrimp tank wich has no heater and as you can see they are about ready to be cut and re planted. And I can't wait it's a lovely plant. I have plans for it and I'm delighted I got a second chance due to my stupidity. il DEFINITELY be buying more creeping jenny from aqua essentials it's a great plant grows fast and will look great when I get to bunch it together. Found this plant by accident on the plants pages. Did some research on it and in its emersed form it grows yellow flowers. So it is now part of my emersed rear wall collection. Keep checking the website for new plants as you're bound to find an unusual plant that fits your aquarium.

Grows tall fast and roots well in fine gravel, would advise buying a few and planting them whole as separating them was difficult. They look much better and bushier whole too, can make good hiding places if needed
