Description
Samolus floribundes is an attractive Australian aquarium plant producing neat rosettes of spoon-shaped, bright green leaves with a smooth, slightly glossy surface. It has a restrained, compact growth habit that makes it well suited to the midground of planted aquariums, providing a tidy rosette form that contrasts effectively with both fine-textured stem plants and broader-leaved foreground species.
It is a moderately demanding plant that benefits from medium light and CO2 supplementation for the most compact, well-coloured growth. Without CO2 it can still be grown in good medium light but tends to grow more slowly and loosely. A nutritious substrate and regular liquid fertilisation support healthy root development and leaf production.
