Description
If you have planaria in your tank, you will know what a pain they are living in your aquarium. If you're not sure what they look like, they're white (sometimes pink) flattish worms that tend to be about 10mm long and eat pretty much everything (apart from plants).
Planaria scavenge food and as a result, are impossible to get rid of. They will also compete with shrimp, and if allowed will attack them or their eggs. If you feed your shrimp food, planaria will get there first which is what makes them so hard to get rid of. In the past, it has always been difficult treating a shrimp tank with anything, particularly a wormer which gets rid of Planaria. Shrimp are very sensitive and as a result, can easily be affected.
Genchem No Planaria eradicates planaria without affecting shrimp.
Features:
* A safe treatment without affecting shrimp or plants
* Biodegradable
* Contains Betal Nut Palm Extract
Remove carbon from your filter prior to dosage and dose according to packet instructions paying careful attention, not to overdose. After 72 hours perform a 25% water change and use activate carbon in your filter for a few days.
Be sure to dose the correct amount.
This product has been around for over 10 years and is well tested - the only complaints which ever come are when customers don't know how to calculate the exact amount of water in their aquarium. This means taking into consideration:
* Rocks
* Substrate
* Wood
* Gravel
* Decor
* Filters
OR ANYTHING ELSE which is in your aquarium.
Let's say your aquarium is 100L (when empty) - how much water do you really have when taking into account the above. 70L maybe? Maybe not (might be less or more but it's your responsibility to work this out). If you dose the correct amount it says then you won't have issues.
Do make sure you're aware of what effect it can have on snails so if you have nerite snails etc, rehome them whilst you're treating and don't put them back in until you are positive all the No Planaria is gone. Once the treatment has run its course use Carbon media (preferably) to remove any traces. You have to consider all livestock.

Highly effective treatment that eliminates planaria and hydra within 2-3 days. Customers said it's "shrimp-safe" and works like magic. However, warning: it kills all snails in the tank. One customer reported snail deaths caused water parameter issues affecting shrimp. Most found it easy to use with clear instructions, though some noted the price point. Safe for shrimp colonies.
- 3 days of treatment and not a planaria in sight and no losses to our shrimp colony at all.
- No hydras in sight after first dose with no adverse effects to guppies or cherry shrimp.
- Best product out on the market which actually eradicates all of the white worms in the shrimp tank.

Used for an outbreak of Hydra. Followed instructions but only needed to dose for two days rather than three and it has done the job. One plant melted slightly but otherwise the rest of tanks inhabitants seem fine.
3 days decreasing treatment sorted my planaria issue out, however remove any snails from the tank. It wiped all of mine out.
Good product, do the job - what else you can ask for?
Worked well- I was using this to treat a tank for hydra rather than planaria but within two days the hydra had all gone making the tank safer for my shrimp and betta!
excellent in everything
Had a small Planaria outbreak in my 2 nano shrimp tanks, dosed the tanks, not seen any Planaria since and no visible effects to the shrimp even the tiny little new-borns.
Highly recommended
Great product. Works well, would recommend this. Seller delivered on time and easy to deal with.
I am new to shrimp keeping, and i found a few planaria worms in my aquarium, i had read earlier when i was planning to keep shrimps that planaria can kill shrimps, and that "NO PLANARIA" treatment is the answer, so i gave it a try, and i have not found one in my tank since, so in my eyes "NO PLANARIA" is the answer, i swear by it.
Excellent product, it destroyed all the planaria in my tank, i have searched over and over and not one to be found.
Brilliant product. Our shrimp tank was suffering from a massive planaria boom. Most products are toxic to shrimp so had no idea what to do, tried this as a last ditch attempt to clear them out, not having much faith in this product to be honest. Thankfully I was wrong to be so sceptical, 3 days of treatment and not a planaria in sight and no losses to our shrimp colony at all.
Amazing product, no hyrdas in sight after first dose with no adverse effects to guppies or cherry shrimp.
Fast post, Easy to use, cleared hydra and Plinaria, no reappearance, neocaridina shrimp are fine. Very glad, thanks.
Does exactly what’s it supposed to do great product
Cleared the planaria totally within 2 days. Be careful if you have snails this killed all the snails in the tank as well. Shrimp seem ok.
Did the job ...hydra gone!
The product was so easy to use. Clear instructions and cleared my planaria problem straight away. Would definitely recommend.
It does what it says on the tin.
Worked a treat can highly recommend.
Fantastic product!! I have tried a few remedies to rid my planaria problem and it really was a problem, but at day 1 there were none in my tank and my shrimp are still doing well a week after I finished the treatment. I would recommend this product to all fellow shrimp keepers. I do not have any fish in that tank however and so I can’t comment on what impact it might have, if any, on a community tank. Having seen those who keep a community tank also having the same success as I did with ‘no planaria’, I would also probably also use it in a community aquarium.
Very good!
Works :)
Removed all my MTS as I had seen this would also kill them.. Had seen it would leave Ramshorns unscathed followed dose as instructed but by 3rd day noticed the Rams had become a little placid had hoped a water change would solve this.. after 30% change day 1 and another 10% change day two I reintroduced the MTS back into the tank. Within the next day or two all my snails had died this caused a big shift in water parameters and killed off all but 2 shrimp.
No Planaria left either soI suppose its done as expected?
Was very skeptic initially as its a 'natural product' but to my delight it worked like magic - after the 3 day treatment all little buggers were dead and I can sleep quietly again knowing that my little shrimpies are happy again.
Have not actually dosed the tank as yet but I am sure the product will do as it says on the bag. I am impressed with the customer relations of Aqua Essentials.
As I don't like putting anything in the water that I don't have to, I haven't used this yet, restricted feeding has stemmed the planaria problem for now, I'll keep it at hand just in case they come back.
From the reviews I have read and seen on YouTube this gets positive feedback from everyone.
3 days dosing. Bye bye planaria... Amazing and shrimp-safe. It works, buy it.
excellent stuff, does exactly what it says and as always came on time.
Not cheap but it certainly did what it says. Four days and my shrimp tank appears to be free of planaria and my shrimps are fine.
This is probably the only best product out on the market which actually eradicates all of the white worms in the shrimp tank.
It comes as a white powder form and does turn your water cloudy for half an hour or so, but after a few dosings - the worms have gone! And the shrimps are swimming around without a care in the world.
Great product.
It does exactly what it says on the bag.
I highly recommend it to anyone who have a problem with planaria. After single use cant see any worms in my tank and it had no effect on any of my shrimps.
