    Description

    Choose your pot size

    • Standard (5cm pot)
    • XL (9cm pot)

Both options are the same plant. XL is a larger supplied specimen. Pot diameter is not plant height; living plants vary naturally. One selected potted plant is included.

Echinodorus impaii is a compact, mid-sized sword plant with neat, bright-green oval leaves arranged in a tidy rosette. It typically reaches 15–25 cm in height, making it a versatile choice for the midground of medium to large aquariums.

This species is straightforward to maintain, tolerating a broad range of water parameters and growing well under medium light without CO2 supplementation. A substrate with good nutritional content encourages steady growth and strong root development.

Supplied as an established potted plant, Echinodorus impaii works well as a structural focal point in the midground, providing a natural contrast to finer-leaved stem plants or low-growing foreground species. Its restrained size makes it suitable for aquariums from around 100 litres upward.

    XL size and care notes

Echinodorus impaii XL is an oversized selection of the compact impaii variety, producing broader, more developed leaves while retaining the species' characteristically neat rosette form. Plants in this category have been grown on to a larger size, giving an immediate visual impact when planted.

Care requirements remain the same as for standard impaii — medium light and no need for CO2 injection. A substrate enriched with nutrients or supplemented with root tabs supports the more vigorous root system of these larger specimens.

Supplied as an established potted plant, Echinodorus impaii XL suits aquariums of 150 litres or more and works well as a substantial background or centrepiece plant. Its more developed size means an instant structural impact without waiting for a smaller plant to grow out.

This plant arrived in beautiful condition, nice strong roots on it too. I removed the basket and floss type stuff, gave it a rinse and it went in the aquarium. It looks great in there. Delivery was quick and the packing was good, not too much padding (didn't need it) and the box was a repurpose one as stated in their leaflet. It will be reused again by me in the near future so an extra bonus :). Emails to inform me of the status of delivery came quickly so I could plan a bit of time to sort and be ready to plant them. Well worth buying from them
