    Description

Echinodorus 'Hadi Red Pearl' is a striking Echinodorus cultivar with delicate, fine-textured red leaves that carry a subtle pearlescent sheen β€” the combination of the red leaf tone and the slight iridescent quality makes it one of the more visually refined red sword cultivars available. New growth emerges vivid red and the colour is generally well maintained with good lighting.

Medium light, no CO2 required, planted in substrate with root tabs and iron-containing fertiliser to support the red colouration. Better lighting and iron availability both intensify the red tones. A compact to medium-sized plant, well suited to midground positioning.

Plant in the midground substrate. Propagation via daughter plants on flower stems.

    Product FAQs

    Helpful details before you buy.

What makes Hadi Red Pearl distinctive?

The combination of red leaf colouration and a subtle pearlescent sheen sets it apart from standard red swords β€” a more refined visual quality.

    Does the red colour stay?

Yes β€” the red is stable, though intensity can vary with lighting. Better light and iron-rich fertiliser deepen the colour.

    Does it need CO2?

No β€” grows without CO2. Root tabs and iron fertiliser make more difference to the colour.

    How large does it get?

Compact to moderate β€” 15–30cm in most conditions. Midground positioning.

    How do I propagate it?

Daughter plants on flower stems β€” detach once they have 3–4 leaves and visible roots.
