Customers praised this LED aquarium light for being "top quality" with "very noticeable" illumination that's lightweight and slimline. It promotes good plant growth that outcompetes algae. However, some found it too bright initially, causing algae issues until dimmed with a controller. One customer reported a faulty plug, though service was excellent.

    • The difference in illumination is very noticeable. Lights up my 80cm tank perfectly.
    • Gives me the right amount of light for really good growth that outcompetes any algae.
    • Looks a quality product. Built well.

    Nice light when it works

Top quality light seems my plug is faulty. Top class service from aqua essentials.

    Seems great

Not used this on a tank as yet, bought it because I have a Superfish Scaper 45 set and the light that came with it really impressed me (for the money)
As far as I am.aware this is pretty much the same light but with extendable arms. I plugged it in just to see it worked and it was very bright. I've also seen these lights used by YouTube aquascapers to great effect so I know they do the job.
Given the price these lights not only do the job but feel and look great quality, don't get me wrong I have Chihiros and Twinstar lights as well and can see the extra money but for those not wanting to spend a fortune (£200+) on the top lights these are perfect

This light it too bright? I got lots of algae. I had to buy the controller to dim it. I think the algae is clearing now.

I installed this yesterday to replace my old light and the difference in illumination is very noticeable. It lights up my moderately planted 80cm tank perfectly. I can't comment on how effective it is for plant growth but have no reason to think it won't be good. It is very lightweight and slimline, unlike my previous one, and looks good too ????
