What are tissue culture aquarium plants?
Tissue culture plants are grown in a sterile lab environment rather than soil, which means they arrive pesticide, snail and algae free. The pots are smaller but very full, with strong root structure.
Do tissue culture plants grow faster than potted plants?
No — there's no evidence they grow faster. Tissue culture plants are younger and more delicate than potted plants, which are hardened to greenhouse life and physically much larger. The real benefit of tissue culture is purity: pesticide, snail and algae free, and the only plants we guarantee 100% shrimp safe.
How do I prepare tissue culture plants before planting?
Rinse the gel off under a tap first, then gently split the plant mass into 6-8 smaller pieces before planting each one into your substrate.
How many pots do I need for my tank size?
As a guide: 5 pots for 35L, 10 for 70L, 15 for 100L, 20 for 150L, 25 for 200L, 30 for 250L, 40 for 300L, and 50 for 350L and above.
Can I choose specific species in this mixed box?
No, the selection is random and may include a mix of brands and species. If you need a specific plant, it's best to order that one individually.
