Aquarium Lava Rock pieces are a simple way to add natural texture, depth and structure to your planted aquarium. Each piece is approximately 4-8cm, making them especially useful for nano tanks, smaller aquariums, detailed aquascapes, or creating borders around plants and hardscape areas.
Their rough, porous surface gives them a natural look and makes them ideal for building small rock formations, scattering through planted areas, or adding contrast around foreground plants. Colours, shapes and sizes will vary, which helps create a more natural finish in the aquarium.
Before adding lava rock to your tank, rinse the pieces thoroughly in hot water to remove any loose dust or debris. Once clean, they can be arranged however you like. Build a small rocky landscape, create a border, or place them between plants for a more textured aquascape.
Each box contains a varied mix of lava rock pieces. Because the pieces differ in size and shape, the exact number will vary, but as a guide, you can expect approximately 80-120 pieces per 5kg box.
