Mixed Boxes are the best way to add lots of plants into your aquarium without the hassle of having to choose the plants - leave it up to the experts!
Our plant manager will persoanlly pick your plants choosing a range of foreground, midground and background plants. All mixed boxes have a range of colours and sizes so when they arrive with you, it looks beautiful immediately.
What size should I choose?
Select the mixed box that is closest to your aquarium taking into consideration any wood or rocks you already have in there. If that's the case, try the next size down.
Can I request specific plants in a Mixed Box?
You can't request specific plants but if you'd like more foreground than background for eg, shoot us a message and we'll see what we can do for you.
Description
The Red Mixed Box consists of a mixture of red plants selected by the experienced Plant Manager here. They will be a beautiful selection of plants that will bring your aquascape to life.
Red plants in the aquarium are highly desirable due to the instant impact they bring to the aquascape. They can be a little bit more demanding due to their need for high light which is how they get their colour. Without this strong light, the colour intensity will fade gradually.
Provide these plants with plenty of good fertilisers and good lighting and you will be pleased as punch you chose a box!!
The picture shows a 'typical' Red Mixed Box however that does not mean you will get the exact plants in the picture. You will however get red plants! Your box of plants may either be all potted plants from the greenhouse OR a mix of potted plants and tissue cultured plants (which allows for the very best selection, range and colours).

What plants are included in the Red Mixed Box?
A selection of red-toned aquarium plants hand-picked by our Plant Manager, chosen for the visual impact they bring to an aquascape. The exact species vary depending on stock.
Do red aquarium plants need special lighting?
Yes. Red plants get their colour from strong light, so without it the colour will gradually fade back towards green. Good lighting and regular fertilising will keep the colour vivid.
Will I get the exact plants shown in the photo?
The photo shows a typical Red Mixed Box, but the exact plants will vary. You'll always receive red plants, just not necessarily the same species pictured.
Are these potted plants or tissue culture?
Your box may contain all potted plants from the greenhouse, or a mix of potted and tissue culture plants, whichever gives the best selection and colour range at the time.
What size box should I choose?
Pick the size closest to your tank: 25L needs 6 pots, 50L needs 12, 75L needs 18, and 100L needs 24.
