Anubias barteri var. nana Large is a tough, easy aquarium plant with broad green leaves and a naturally slow-growing habit. It is a great choice when you want long-lasting structure on wood, stone or aquarium décor without constant trimming.
This larger-leaved form of Anubias nana gives more visual impact than the regular variety while still staying compact and manageable. It works especially well attached to hardscape, where the rhizome can remain exposed and the roots can gradually grip the surface.
Like all Anubias, it should not be buried in the substrate. Tie it to wood or rock using thread, fishing line or aquarium-safe plant glue until it secures itself naturally. Keeping the rhizome uncovered is important, as burying it can cause the plant to rot.
Growth is slow and steady, making this a dependable option for low-maintenance aquariums, beginner setups and aquascapes that need a reliable green focal point. Its durable leaves can last for years, helping create a mature, established look with very little fuss.
You’ll receive a healthy rooted plant in a 5 cm pot, similar to those shown. Each plant is hand-checked before dispatch.
