Bucephalandra sintang is a variety from the Sintang region of West Kalimantan with a soft, slightly olive-green appearance and gently rounded leaves. It has a quieter, more understated character than some of the more dramatically coloured Buce varieties — the iridescence is present but subtle — making it well suited to naturalistic layouts where bold colour contrasts aren't the goal.
Care is the same as all Buce: low light, attach to hardscape, slow growing, no CO2 essential. Shrimp are active on the leaf surface. Good choice for aquascapers who want Bucephalandra character without the strong colour statement.
Attach the rhizome to wood or rock with thread or aquarium-safe superglue. Do not bury the rhizome.
