We get asked this question a lot. So rather than writing a blog post on it, I thought I would make a YouTube clip (my first one!). Anyway, actions speak louder than words so watch the clip below :)
Have been using Aquaessentials on and off, for many years now. On and off because at times I have taken a break from aquatics, but rest assured when I'm ready to start up again or expand, aquaessentials is my first and only choice. They have always amazed me with the unbeatable quality of the plants and decor they supply, and have always been superfast with deliveries. They always have a vast range online and are always well stocked. None of the numerous aquatic stores I have visited over the years could ever be considered a match for this. In short whenever I need plants or decor for my aquarium projects Aquaessentials will alway be my one and only goto.
These guys are the best , well packaged healthy plants, really impressed with the quality yes they are a little more money than buying off say ebay , but you get what you pay for , keep up the good work , ill be back 👍
So happy with my plants I received chose the 12 mystery box as not disappointed great company and plants will totally recommend
Did not expect the Lagenandra to look so good I love it. Great order again, fast arrival, & no issues 👌🏼
First time ordering plants online and I now have a permanent source. Not only cheaper but so much better than previous purchases I’ve made in store.
Can’t make a single complaint, next day delivery, great packaging no damage anything. And the moss balls are so tiny I love it. Can’t wait to add them to the tank.
They include little care sheets to figure out how to properly care for your plants if needed. Will be coming back when I’m ready to move forward with the next plants. Great company ☺️
Since moving from silk plants to live plants have used aqua essentials to set up 4 of my tanks, always comes packaged well, plants in excellent condition and my last order one of the plants I ordered had melt so instead they sent as a 1.2 grow cup with a note to explain very pleased and will always use for any aquarium needs
Bought 3 plants and some spiderwood from aqua essentials. Happy with the plants , all came in good condition and look stunning ,although I am disappointed in the spiderwood given that it only has one root on it and doesn't offer much coverage
Quick delivery and product is great cant wait to see how fast water change will be now. Definitely deserve full stars

Haha :)
No worries.
Maybe I should have read the instructions before getting started.
I’ll keep you updated how the plants are doing.
Joe
The thin roots growing out of your stem plants is normal and you’ll be fighting a loosing battle if you take on that challenge. If I were you I would accept it and try not to let it bother you :)
But let me know how you get on with your pots as I’m sure you’re not the only one who has planted them.
Richard,
Thanks for your prompt reply. Some of the plants have thin roots growing out of their stems which doesn’t look very attractive. Other than that they all look happy and need regular trimming.
I might try to free some of them out of the pots. Let’s see how they are doing.
Cheers,
Joe
Glad you like it Joe :)
As you have already planted them, probably best to leave them. They will throw out roots anyway.
If any plants look like they are struggling, you may need to remove them from their pots, as ultimately that is what they need.
Does this help?
