Description
A natural ceramic hide pre-grown with Java moss, designed specifically as a shrimp shelter with a planted surface. The ceramic hide provides secure enclosed shelter for breeding shrimp, juvenile shrimp, and small fish, while the Java moss covering creates a natural biofilm-rich surface that shrimp graze on constantly — combining two of the most valued elements of a shrimp tank into a single ready-made piece.
Java moss is one of the easiest and most shrimp-appropriate plants available. It grows in low light without CO2 injection and is fully safe for all shrimp species. The moss provides biofilm-covered grazing surface, surface area for beneficial bacteria, and visual cover for vulnerable juvenile shrimp who hide within the moss strands.
The moss is pre-established on the ceramic shelter so no further attachment is needed — simply rinse and place in the aquarium. The ceramic is heavy and sinks immediately. Particularly well suited to breeding setups and dedicated shrimp tanks where the combination of shelter and planted grazing surface is most valuable. Suits aquariums from 15 litres upward.

FAB! Love the shrimp/Cordy shelter, its fully covered with healthy, green moss. 2 of my precious Cory's use it.. don't think the others fit! But they love sitting and rooting through the moss. Delight to watch. Definitely recommend and will easily fit most shrimp, I'm getting some soon.

Lovely item, came promptly even in these difficult times, I was concerned if it would be well grown on, as an item I had some time ago, didn't have much moss on and didn't survive but needn't have worried, all the items I recently received were excellent condition, unlike two plants I bought from pet shop, gave us infestation of snails. Quick delivery. Lots of Java moss for the size of the ceramic tubes, already spreading like wildfire in my nano setup. Tubes are wide enough for my Betta to fit through... so not sure how safe the ship will be! Slightly expensive for the size of the product hence 4 stars .

It's a hard battle between me and the shrimps to say who prefers it most but I think I just win out. They took to it immediately and enjoy crawling over the carpet of moss and occasionally hiding out in the tunnels. An asset to aquariums with shrimps.
