Shrimp are shipped Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday only and overnight temperatures need to be 5C or more. Any less than this and we'll hold your order until it's warm enough. It's always safety first for livestock.
These shrimp are drop shipped direct from our wholesaler to you so will arrive separately to any other goods you order from our website.
Shrimp are a popular choice for both beginner and experienced aquarium enthusiasts due to their adaptability and ease of care. These vibrant, social, and peaceful shrimp can cohabit with various other shrimp species, including Crystal Shrimp, Taiwan Bee, and Amano Shrimp. Known for their prolific breeding, Cherry Shrimp add both colour and activity to any tank.
Important Considerations for Colour Maintenance
To maintain the distinct coloration of Shrimp, it is advisable to keep different colour varieties separate to prevent interbreeding. Interbreeding can result in brown or wild-type offspring by the second generation. Some colour combinations may not produce wild-types but can still alter the intensity and hue over time. Notable combinations include:
- Orange Sakura + Orange Rili
- Bloody Mary + Black Rose + Chocolate
- Blue Jelly + Blue Rili + Blue Velvet + Fantasy Blue
For consistent colour maintenance across generations, we recommend not mixing these varieties.
Ideal Water Parameters for most shrimp
- pH: 6.0-7.8
- Temperature: 19-23°C (66-73°F)
- TDS (Total Dissolved Solids): 120-250
However if buying Caradina - Crystal Reds, Crystal Blacks, Kong Kong, Blue King Kong they prefer a TDS of 110-180
Note: While shrimp are highly adaptable and can thrive in a wide range of water conditions, they do best within the parameters listed above. They can live in most tap water conditions, making them versatile and resilient inhabitants of your aquarium.

All our products are in stock, ready to ship (unless otherwise stated). Order before 4pm for same day dispatch (Mon-Fri). Prices start at £4.99 for a Tracked 48 Service (up to 5kgs) and £8.99 for Express Delivery via DPD.

If you choose Express Delivery, we will replace any plants that are damaged due to delays. Express Delivery is a fast, trackable, and reliable option with a one hour delivery window. It also ensures that the plants will arrive in the same condition as when they left our facility. If you choose a different postage option, such as Tracked 24 or Tracked 48, you will not be covered for any damages due to delays and will assume the risk yourself if the plants do not arrive in good condition. Express Delivery includes an insurance policy, which may cost more but provides added peace of mind.

Your plants will be wrapped with recyclable Honey Comb wrap - sounds cool because it is :). It interlocks which means we don't need to use tape either, reducing our impact on the environment.
