I've been getting my plants from Aqua essentials, for a while now, and they all come well packed and quickly. They have been good quality and do well growing in my aquarium. The prices are fair too. Would recommend

Mixed Boxes are the best way to add lots of plants into your aquarium without the hassle of having to choose the plants - leave it up to the experts!
Our plant manager will persoanlly pick your plants choosing a range of foreground, midground and background plants. All mixed boxes have a range of colours and sizes so when they arrive with you, it looks beautiful immediately.
What size should I choose?
Select the mixed box that is closest to your aquarium taking into consideration any wood or rocks you already have in there. If that's the case, try the next size down.
Can I request specific plants in a Mixed Box?
You can't request specific plants but if you'd like more foreground than background for eg, shoot us a message and we'll see what we can do for you.
Description
The Lucky Dip Box of 3 XL Aquarium Plants is a handpicked selection of three large, established aquarium plants chosen from our current XL range. Each box is put together based on what is looking particularly healthy and impressive at the time of packing — the selection will vary, but all plants supplied will be XL specimens of quality species suited to a range of aquarium styles.
This is an excellent way to add significant planting impact to a new or established tank at a reduced price compared to purchasing three XL plants individually. All species supplied are suitable for aquariums of 100 litres and above and are chosen with general compatibility in mind — though the mix is a surprise, every plant will be a worthwhile addition to a planted set-up.
If you have particular preferences or things you definitely do not want — for example if you already have Anubias or you are looking for stem plants rather than rosettes — drop us a note when ordering and we will do our best to accommodate. Plants arrive in good condition and are ready to plant on arrival. Specific species cannot be guaranteed but quality and size always can.

No — the selection is a surprise based on what is looking best at packing time. However, you can leave a note with your order mentioning preferences or plants you already have.
What species might I receive?
The box draws from our full XL range, which includes Anubias, Echinodorus swords, Microsorum Java fern, Hygrophila, Cryptocoryne, and others depending on availability.
Are the plants guaranteed to be healthy?
Yes — all plants are handpicked from healthy, established stock. Size and quality are always consistent even if the exact species varies.
What tank size is the box suitable for?
The plants supplied are all XL specimens, best suited to aquariums of 100 litres and above where larger plants can be appreciated and have room to grow.
Can I request plants I do not already have?
Yes — add a note at checkout and we will do our best to avoid duplicating species you already keep, though this cannot always be guaranteed.
