Anubias barteri nana is one of the most popular aquarium plants, with compact, dark green oval leaves growing from a creeping rhizome. This version comes pre-attached to a piece of natural driftwood designed to float at the water surface, providing the plant with strong surface light while adding an unusual overhead planting element not often seen in home aquariums. It creates a natural canopy effect from above.
Anubias is one of the easiest aquarium plants available. It grows in low to medium light without CO2 injection and tolerates a broad range of water conditions and temperatures. Growth is slow but the plant is extremely long-lived and requires virtually no maintenance once it has settled in.
No anchoring or substrate planting is required — simply drop the floating piece into the tank. It can drift freely or be positioned under a piece of hardscape to hold it in place. Particularly effective in tanks with surface-feeding fish or where unusual planting positions add visual interest. Fully shrimp-safe and suitable for tropical and temperate set-ups.
