Description
A small piece of natural lava rock pre-grown with aquarium moss, creating a compact planted feature that can be placed anywhere in the aquarium without substrate preparation. The deep green moss covers the dark volcanic rock surface, softening its texture and producing a naturally overgrown appearance from the moment it is placed in the tank ā no waiting for the moss to establish from bare strands.
Aquarium moss is one of the easiest and most versatile plants in the hobby. It grows in low light without CO2 injection and tolerates a wide range of water conditions. It contributes to water quality, provides natural texture, and gives shrimp and fry valuable shelter and grazing surface. Growth is slow and steady and the moss gradually increases in density as it settles.
The moss is pre-established on the lava rock so no further attachment is needed ā simply rinse and place in the aquarium. The small size suits aquariums of 20 litres and above and works in foreground, midground, or tucked between larger hardscape elements as a natural accent. The lava rock sinks immediately without weighting.

Will it grow beyond the lava rock?
Over time, yes. The moss will slowly spread and extend beyond the rock edges if left untrimmed. Regular light trimming keeps it neat and bushy.
