Description

Create a natural planted feature with Anubias and Microsorum (Java fern), paired on a single piece of wood. The broad leaves of Anubias contrast beautifully with the fern’s longer leaves, adding texture and greenery to your aquarium without the need for substrate planting.

Both are slow-growing, easy-care plants suited to low to medium light. They can grow without injected CO2, making this duet a good choice for beginners and low-tech aquariums. Use a quality liquid aquarium plant fertiliser regularly to support healthy growth, following the recommended dosage.

The plants are already attached to the wood, so simply rinse gently in dechlorinated water and position in your aquarium. Keep the rhizomes of both plants above the substrate; burying them can cause rot. Place the piece where the leaves have room to grow, and trim away any damaged or ageing leaves as needed.

Each piece of natural wood is unique, so its shape, size and plant arrangement will vary from the photographs.
