Cryptocoryne wendtii Green is the classic green form of one of the most popular and reliable Cryptocoryne species in the hobby, producing oval to lance-shaped leaves in clean, consistent green with a slightly bullate or textured surface. Its reliable growth, excellent tolerance of varying water conditions, and compact rosette form make it one of the most recommended Cryptocoryne species for planted aquariums at all levels.
Like all Cryptocoryne it grows from the substrate without CO2 injection and tolerates an exceptionally broad range of water chemistry, temperature, and light levels. Once settled it is a long-lived and largely self-sustaining plant requiring very little attention. Occasional Cryptocoryne melt can occur when first introduced — this is normal and temporary.
Supplied as a Tropica 1-2-GROW! tissue culture cup, this plant arrives completely free from snails, pest algae, and pesticide residue. Rinse the gel and plant the rootlets into the substrate. Suits aquariums from 30 litres upward — an outstanding and dependable midground Cryptocoryne with excellent shrimp compatibility and virtually no special requirements.
