What makes Trident Java fern different?
The Trident form has deeply forked, three-pronged leaf tips that give each frond an unusual, architectural appearance quite unlike standard Java fern.
Does it need CO2?
No — like all Java fern it grows without CO2 in low to medium light.
Why is it designed to float?
The floating base positions the plant at the surface where its distinctive leaf tips are visible from above as well as the front, and where it accesses surface light naturally.
Can I fix it in one position?
Yes — position it under a rock or piece of hardscape, or let it float freely. It can be repositioned at any time.
Is it safe for shrimp?
Yes, fully. Shrimp graze on the leaf surfaces and trailing roots.
