Description
This mixed set supplies several mini lava rock pieces each pre-grown with a different species or variety of Cryptocoryne. Crypts are among the most diverse and interesting plants in the aquarium hobby, and the mixed format provides a range of leaf shapes, textures, and tones in a single order. The lava rock mounting means no substrate planting is needed — each piece can be placed, moved, and repositioned freely in the aquarium.
Cryptocoryne as a genus is tolerant and adaptable. Most varieties grow in low to medium light without CO2 injection and handle a broad range of water parameters. Like all crypts they may experience leaf melt after being moved to a new tank — old leaves die back but the plant regrows healthily from the root. Once established on the lava rocks they are very low-maintenance.
All plants are pre-established on their lava rocks so no further attachment or planting is needed — simply rinse each piece and place where you want it in the aquarium. Suited to aquariums of 20 litres and above. The exact species in the mix varies with seasonal availability, providing variety and natural midground texture.

Arrived nice and healthy I have had this type before in my tank but it was planted and unfortunately it wasn't getting a chance to settle as my kuhli loaches kept digging and disturbing them so as soon.as I seen this I had to get one! growing plenty new leaves already highly recommend it looks amazing growing on the rock!

What species of Cryptocoryne are included?

Do they need CO2 or specialist lighting?
No — most Cryptocoryne varieties grow in low to medium light without CO2 injection.
What is crypt melt and will it happen?
Crypt melt is when Cryptocoryne shed their leaves after being moved. It is common and normal — the roots remain healthy and the plant regrows within a few weeks.
Do I need to plant them in substrate?
No — each plant is pre-established on its lava rock. Just rinse and place each piece wherever you want in the tank.
Is it good value compared to buying individually?
